I am fifteen and a BAT in training, BAT standing for British and Twisted an expression some of the more France adoring expats use for those who complain about the place. I think I have a right to complain because I didn't choose to live here! I was six when I moved here and it is a great place to live when you are little because there's plenty of space to play and go swimming and run around naked but when you hit eleven it suddenly becomes incredibly boring. I live in a small village which has about 4 houses, a mairie, a salle de fetes, a school, a tennis court, and for some reason an insurance company.
I live here with my mum and two younger sisters, Miggy or potty aged 13, and Squidge or stroppy bum aged 12. We have all gone slightly insane from too much sun, isolation and French beaurocracy.
This blog is aimed at those who are thinking of moving their kids to France, please think again, they may end up like me!
